2016-17 EPL Multi Week 22
The 2016-17 EPL season is heating up, with the top 6 teams starting to pull away from the pack, the title race is beginning to take shape. Chelsea look the hot favourites 21 games in, 7 points clear of their nearest rivals in Tottenham and Liverpool. With some big clashes this weekend, we are back with another BetKing Multi of the Week for Round 22 of the 2016-17 EPL Season.
Leg one of out multi features the hot team of the premier league. Apart from a loss at Tottenham two weeks ago, Chelsea have been tearing the premier league to pieces. Even a manager-striker controversy between Atonio Conte and Diego Costa couldn’t derail their season as they captured a 3-0 win over Leicester without the Spaniard. They come up against Hull City this weekend, who have struggled to put the ball in the back of the net, let alone capture any wins this year. They have only managed 20 goals this season, 3rd worst behind Middlesborough and Southampton. Look for Chelsea to maintain a large portion of possession and come away with a easy win.
Our second leg features what should be another one sided affair. Liverpool take on bottom of the table Swansea in the early Saturday night game this weekend. The game is televised on SBS and promises to be a goal fest for the offensive juggernauts in red. Liverpool have scored a league leading 49 goals so far this season even without English striker Daniel Sturridge for much of the season. Their attacking style of play under sophomore manager Jurgen Klopp should see them over the line against Swansea, who on the contrary have let in a league leading 49 goals.
Keeping our multi consistent, we are taking arguably the next most one sided game for leg three. Everton will travel to Crystal Palace on the weekend to take on a struggling Eagles side. Palace have only won 1 match of their last 10, which is the worst run in the league, and now find themselves in dire straits in the middle of a relegation battle. Everton have had massive wins over Man City, Arsenal, Leicester and Southampton in the past 5 weeks and show no sign of slowing down, they should take this one comfortably away from home.
Manchester United when through a hot patch of form, winning 9 games in a row across all competitions before their 1-1 draw with Liverpool last week. Some would argue that the level of competition during their winning streak wasn’t the greatest, however, and the draw with Liverpool is a better judge of their performance on the year so far. Already this year, they have drawn with Liverpool twice, Everton, West Ham, Arsenal and this week’s opponents, Stoke. This all just proves their vulnerability against some of the better sides in the comp, and in a tough away game in Stoke, I like this to be a low scoring draw again.
