2016-17 EPL Multi Week 24
After an interesting FA Cup weekend and a mid-week round that both produced a lot of surprising results, we are back to normal scheduling for Week 24. Headlined by a massive clash between Chelsea and Arsenal, the round offers up some pretty good value games that we will be featuring in our Multi of the Week for Round 24 of the EPL Season.
A very disappointing Week 23 saw us hit only one leg of our four leg multi, so we could really use a few winners here. Leg one of our multi will feature the Spurs hosting Middlesbrough early Sunday morning. Tottenham moved one rung up the table on the weekend to 2nd place above their cross-town rivals Arsenal, and will be looking to move even further clear this weekend as Arsenal have a tough matchup against Chelsea. At home I don’t see how the lackluster offence of Middlesbrough, who have only scored 15 goals on the season so far, will be able to put the ball in the back of the net against arguably the best defence in the league in Tottenham. Comfortable just taking the short price of Tottenham to mark off one leg of the multi.
In leg two of our multi we will be taking Crystal Palace to beat Sunderland at home. I’ve come to respect the home field advantage a lot more over the past few weeks, even teams who are struggling seem to be coming up with wins lately. The signing of Loic Remy on loan from Chelsea might have put a spring in Crystal Palace’s step. With a dominant 2-0 victory over Bournemouth last week, they’ll come into the fixture full of steam against current wooden-spooners Sunderland. They went through a rough patch but any list that includes the likes of Remy, Christian Benteke, Yohan Cabaye and Jason Puncheon couldn’t be kept down for long. Happy taking them at $1.67 at home in this one.
We’ll be taking Man City to beat Swansea in leg 3 of our multi. Man City are at home and Swansea leak goals for fun. They lead the league in goals against this season with a ridiculous 52 on the season so far. Combine that with the fact that Man City’s offence has looked like it did in their title years the last few weeks could mean an easy victory for the Sky Blues.
Manchester United are quickly becoming the kings of the draw in the premier league. They have a league leading 9 so far on the season and have only score 33 goals, the least of any of the top six clubs by 12. Regardless of their current form, it’ll be a tough test against the reigning champion Leicester City for the Red Devils. The title holders have everything to play for as they try to avoid relegation. I like this one to be a low scoring draw.
