2016-17 EPL Multi Week 25
Unfortunately, we only hit on 2 of 4 legs in last week’s multi. It meant not only did we lose, we failed to meet the criteria to get our money back in bonus bets with the Sportsbet promotion. We’ll be looking to hit at least three legs this weekend in our Week 25 EPL Multi.
The first leg of our multi will feature the red-hot Chelsea to take down Burnley away from home on Monday morning (AEDT). Burnley are a tough and underatted prospect, especially away from home, but it’s impossible to bet against Chelsea in their current form. A massive win over Arsenal last week moved them a whopping 9 points clear on top of the table and they currently sit at 8-1-1 from their last 10 games. We won’t be getting a whole lot of value for the Blues, however, they are a great foundation for our multi.
We’ll be taking a road team again for the second leg of our multi as Everton travel to Middlesbrough Sunday morning. Everton are a team we’ve been riding heavily lately due to a good run of form. Middlesbrough, whose effort has been admirable, just have trouble putting the ball in the back of the net. With only 19 goals on the season so far, they’ll have a tough time against a good defence in Everton. This should be a walkover for the Toffees.
The two Manchester teams will round out our multi this week. They both have favourable matchups, and with some decent value that we are getting from the Everton leg, we are happy with adding in the Manchester teams at short odds.
Man City comes up against Bournemouth, also away from home. Bournemouth have proven this season that they are capable of hanging with the best teams in the EPL on their day. Unfortunately for them, they haven’t been able to find their day as consistently as they would like. At just 2-2-6 through their last 10, and just 7 points clear of relegation, it will be a big game for Bournemouth. Manchester City have bounced back from a recent form slump with two dominant victories in the last week. I like them to continue that streak in this game.
Their cross-town rivals, Manchester United are the only home team we’ll be featuring in this week’s multi, which could be a little dangerous. Man U have started to mesh well as a team after an array of off season roster changes and suddenly look one of the form teams in the comp. World superstars Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba look a class above in every game they play, and hopefully, they’ll be too much for Watford, who have gone 3-3-4 over their last ten games.
