2017-18 EPL Multi Week 1

With the AFL and NRL seasons coming to a close, we are happy to keep the multi train rolling by presenting our first EPL multi for the 2017-18 season. It’s set to be a great year of soccer with plenty of interesting moves being made in the Premier League, so sit back and enjoy our EPL Multi of the Week for Day 1 of the season below.

As of writing there are currently no multi specials at Australian bookmakers but we can almost guarantee that in the next few days the standard ‘miss one leg and get your money back in bonuses’ promotions will start to pop up so we’ll keep an eye out.

Always tough to try to find winners in the first week of a season so we’ll be looking at some short priced favourites this weekend in an attempt to get on the front foot early, starting with Chelsea to defeat Burnley at home. The reigning premiers are unbeaten in their last six games against Burnley and haven’t lost an opening day Premier League fixture since 1998. Should be a comfortable anchor leg.

In leg two of our multi we’ll be taking Southampton to earn victory over Swansea at home. We are picking the Swans to have a bad year this year and potentially even get relegated. They open with an extremely tough game against Southampton, whom they have only defeated twice in their last eight attempts. They are also scoreless in six of their 10 games against Southampton.

Leg three of our multi is a pretty straight forward one as the 2017 EPL favourites, Manchester City, face off against one of the promoted teams, Brighton & Hove Albion. It will be the latter’s first ever game in the top flight of English Football and unluckily for them they’ve drawn the juggernaut that is the Sky Blues. Should be a pretty one sided affair.

The final leg of our multi will add some value as we take Crystal Palace to defeat another promoted team in Huddersfield Town. Hudderfield haven’t been in the top league of English Football since 1972 and will have to travel to Palace for their opening game. Teams tend to play well with a new manager, which Palace have appointed at the beginning of this year so we expect them to be too strong here.
