2016 AFL Round 18 Betting Multi

2016 AFL Betting

It was yet another close call last week, with our roughie pick getting up, along with our three short-priced picks, but Sydney losing in the last minute of their game ensured our multi was ruined.

As usual we utilised the CrownBet multi special that saw us score a matched bonus bet because just one leg failed. It’s a good safety net, but hopefully we don’t have to take advantage of the offer with our 2016 AFL Round 18 betting multi.

The first pick of our multi in Round 18 is for North Melbourne to defeat Collingwood on Friday night. Hate to have a tough one to kick it off, but the odds on this one look like a value play this weekend. North Melbourne simply have to come out firing for this one as their finals hopes are resting on winning every game they can. Let’s not forget they won nine in a row to start the year and while their form is obviously horrible at the moment, they are capable of playing good football. Daniel Wells, Nick Dal Santo and Jarrad Waite returned last week and struggled, but hopefully they will stand up this week and help get the job done.

Next up is the very simple West Coast to defeat Melbourne. With this game at Domain Stadium, we can’t see the Demons having a chance. The Eagles dominate up forward and the Demons won’t be able to stop them putting a big score on the board. If the game was in Melbourne this might be a different story. Confident on the Eagles here.

Another tough one as we will be taking Adelaide to defeat Geelong. The game being at Simonds Stadium looks the only big positive for the Cats. Otherwise, the Crows are in amazing form and look unlikely to drop a game soon. They are prolific scorers and rebound the ball extremely well from the backhalf. This will be a tough ask down in Geelong, but the Crows look over the odds.

Hopefully things get a little simpler on Saturday night as we like Western Bulldogs to defeat St Kilda. The Saints like to play at Etihad, but so do the Bulldogs and while St Kilda have been playing some solid football, they are extremely inconsistent. The Bulldogs don’t allow teams to put up big scores and that’s where I think the Saints will struggle. Happy with the Dogs at this price.

The fifth and final leg for our Round 18 multi is the riskiest of the week, but Brisbane to defeat Essendon looks like value. You just couldn’t possible back Essendon to beat anyone at $1.60, so with that in mind, any team paying $2.60 against them is value. The Lions have some experienced players who need to stand up and show some pride and surely if they are going to do that, it will be this weekend against Essendon.

AFL Round 18 Multi

North Melbourne to defeat Collingwood – $1.70
West Coast to defeat Melbourne – $1.12
Adelaide to defeat Geelong – $2.20
Western Bulldogs to defeat St Kilda – $1.33

Total odds: $14.48
