2016 AFL Round 2 Betting Multi

2016 AFL betting

Round 1 of the 2016 AFL season didn’t go quite as we planned, but ultimately we were able to learn a lot more about a few teams. It wasn’t completely disastrous either as we managed 3/5 correct picks. Hopefully we can manage even more winners with our 2016 AFL Round 2 betting multi!

This week our multi starts on Friday night with Collingwood vs Richmond at the MCG. The key outs from Richmond’s squad are well documented (including star Brett Deledio), but on the back of Collingwood’s performance last week, you have to consider Richmond value here. Collingwood are also without Steele Sidebottom to a report, while Dane Swan had a season ending injury last week.

We will then turn our focus to the big South Australian showdown on Saturday – Port Adelaide vs Adelaide. There is no doubt this game will be a tough contest, and will likely be a close match. However, Port Adelaide ended up showing us their best late in the game against St Kilda and we don’t think Adelaide can combat that effort. If Charlie Dixon, Robbie Gray, Chad Wingard and the like start kicking goals, there isn’t anything Adelaide can do.

On Saturday afternoon it’s Essendon vs Melbourne and this is a no brainer with Melbourne close to a certainty. Essendon showed us how poor they are last week, while Melbourne did the opposite. They have some real talent on their list and will cause headaches for far better sides than the Bombers this year.

We then like the Dockers to bounce back as Fremantle vs Gold Coast kicks off out west on Saturday evening. It’s going to be very hard for the Suns to travel to Domain and get a win. Yes, the Dockers were terrible last week, but nothing went right for them. Ross Lyon will get his elite list firing on all cylinders again and should come away with a solid victory.

The toughest game of our multi is probably Hawthorn vs West Coast, but we think there is value with the Eagles and a good chance for us to boost the odds on our multi. The Hawks already had injuries worries before their loss to Geelong last week and the news only got worse when Luke Hodge went down in Round 1. West Coast, meanwhile, were beastly against the Lions. JJ Kennedy kicked 8 goals and they simply dominated the ball movement. There is revenge on West Coast’s mind and we think they can get it done.
