2016 AFL Round 8 Betting Multi

2016 AFL betting

It’s been tough to snag an AFL multi so far this year with plenty of shock-worthy results every week. It’s going to be tough again this time around as we look to find value, along with winners. But alas, read our latest 2016 AFL tips and let’s see how we go with our AFL Round 8 betting multi!

Our multi is going to start just with the Friday night game as we take Geelong to defeat Adelaide. The game is at Adelaide Oval, but Geelong have just continued to show each and every week that they are an extremely dangerous team. They play a similar style to the Bulldogs and that proved a problem for Adelaide last week. Hate to start the multi off with the toughest pick of the week, but with Geelong at $1.92, we can’t say no.

Things get a little easier on Saturday as we like Sydney to defeat Richmond. It’s hard to think Richmond’s season could get any worse, but here they are looking at another certain loss. They may take a little solace from the fact the game is at the MCG and they have a solid record against the Swans, but ultimately they just don’t have the talent to contain the Swans’ elite midfield, or their potent forward line including a Buddy Franklin in electric form.

Then it’s another tough one as we will be taking Brisbane to defeat Collingwood. Neither of these teams are elite, but it does seem like Brisbane have been playing better footy. Collingwood are in absolute shambles and I’m not sure they will handle the roadtrip to the Gabba. This another one where I just think there is too much value on the Lions.

One that we are very happy to have in our AFL Round 8 multi is Port Adelaide to defeat Carlton. No doubt the Blues have been playing solid football. They have surprisingly won three games in a row and wouldn’t be writing themselves off to win a fourth. However, this is going to be a much tougher prospect as Port Adelaide are starting to play much better football. They will also be getting Robbie Gray back in the side which is huge. Happy to take the Power here at $1.42.

The final leg of our Round 8 multi sees us taking Western Bulldogs to defeat Melbourne. Although this Sunday game is at the MCG where the Dogs don’t have much experience, they are a much better team than the Demons. They were very good in their victory over the Crows last week and even with the Max Gawn / Jack Viney combo in the middle, the Demons will struggle to score enough against the Bulldogs.
