The NFL season continues as we reach the Divisional Playoff Round. This will be our last instalment of our NFL Multi for the 2015-16 season and we are looking to finish on a strong note by securing another victory.

In the opening match of the round we will be taking the Patriots to defeat the Chiefs on home soil. Last week the Chiefs were able to force five takeaways against the Texans, however a lot of those turnovers were due to the horrible game from Brian Hoyer as he threw the ball into double coverage and practically straight at the Chiefs defenders. Worryingly the Chiefs were unable to convert on all the opportunities they were given and were forced to punt or kick a field goal on the majority of the occasions. They won’t be able to let opportunities like this slip against the Patriots. They are also coming up against the second best pass rush team in the league and this could see Alex Smith come under a lot of pressure if his team falls behind. The Patriots are the defending champions and will be too strong on home soil.

The Packers were able to put their end of season troubles behind them last week as they overcame an early deficit to leave Washington with their heads held high. However, a lot of their success came after Aaron Rodgers was able to scramble and make plays happen against a weaker defence then they will face this weekend. Their running game will need to get going for them to stand a chance otherwise it could be Rodgers being on the receiving end of a lot of sacks. In their last match the Cardinals were flogged by the Seahawks and they wouldn’t have forgotten that loss over their weekend off and they will be out to prove a point as they earn a victory and send the Packers packing.

The overall number one seed the Carolina Panthers take on the Seattle Seahawks in arguably the most intriguing match of the weekend. The Seahawks had to rely on luck to escape Minnesota with a victory as a field goal from 27 yards out was missed that saw them pick up the one point win. They will need more than luck this week as the Panthers have only lost one match all season and defeated the Seahawks in Seattle during that run. Johnatan Stewart returns to the offence for the home team which will allow for Cam Newton to utilise the running game of Stewart and which will open up passing options. The Panthers defence will stop Russell Wilson from scrambling on offence and making plays which will contribute greatly to them securing the victory.

In our final leg of the Divisional Playoffs we will be backing the Denver Broncos and returning quarterback Peyton Manning to defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Broncos were trailing when Manning returned to the field for the first time in over two months and he was able to turn things around for his team which would have lifted his confidence and the confidence of the players around him. Meanwhile the Steelers will take the field battered and bruised with Ben Roethlisberger struggling with a shoulder injury, Antonio Brown is under the concussion protocol and DeAngelo Williams is still questionable with an ankle injury. The Broncos will progress through and give Manning a chance at reaching the Superbowl.
