2016 NRL Round 21 Betting Multi

NRL-Multi-Sportsbet-Promotion

In round 20 of the NRL season we correctly picked four of five for our multi and despite missing out on a nice profit, we were able to get cash back thanks to the Sportsbet promotion. We have our Round 21 betting multi of the week below.

The Brisbane Broncos were the side to let us down in last week’s multi as they suffered a massive loss at home to the Panthers. However, we will be backing them to get the job done this Thursday night against the Roosters. The Broncos have taken a hit in the forward pack with Josh Maguire and Sam Thaiday to miss a week through suspension but they receive a massive boost with Matt Gillett returning to the side. He has left a massive hold on the right edge for the last two weeks as he is one of the best defenders in the competition and his combination with Ben Hunt is vital for the Broncos success. Meanwhile the Roosters are on a six-game losing streak and suffered a setback in the front row themselves. Jared Warea-Hargreaves left early against the Storm on Saturday night and isn’t expected to be right on Thursday night. The short turn around for the Roosters should also help the Broncos get the victory.

The New Zealand Warriors have dropped out of the top eight but it isn’t due to them putting in bad performances. In their last four games, they have lost three on the road and in golden point. It has been tough losses to swallow as if they were able to come out on top in the added period they would be sitting in a great position on the ladder. However, they need to have better starts to the contest as in all three of those matches they were forced to come from behind. They should be able to have a better start in this contest, as they will be playing at home. The Panthers are coming off their best performance of the season as they outclassed the Broncos at Suncorp stadium. The Panthers attack was clicking brilliantly but they are a side that has shown inconsistencies throughout the year and we are predicting the Warriors to earn the two vital competition points.

The biggest match of round 21 will be the North Queensland Cowboys hosting the Melbourne Storm. The Cowboys are undefeated on home soil but they will be without four-time Dally M medallist Johnathan Thurston for the clash. It is a massive loss for obvious reasons but the experience and attack the halfback brings will give the advantage to the Storm in this one. Their defence has been by far the best in the competition this season and it will be hard for the Cowboys to crack them without their star player. The Storm always lift for big matches as Cameron Smith and Cooper Cronk are great at getting the best out of their players. The return of Cameron Munster and Will Chambers has boosted their attack and the Storm have already picked up a big win against the defending champions this season and we are backing them to get it done again.

The Manly Sea Eagles have won three straight matches and have given themselves a slim hope of making the finals series. If they are going to get it done they will need to keep the W’s coming and we are predicting them to be able to get it done against the bottom of the table Newcastle Knights this weekend. The move of Jamie Lyon into the halves has allowed for Daly Cherry-Evans to improve as the pressure has been taken off his shoulders whilst Tom Trbojevic is continuing to impress in the fullback role. Meanwhile the Knights rebuilding season continues as they have only managed the one win all year. Jarrod Mullen has reinjured his hamstring in a blow for the club.

In our final leg we will be predicting the Cronulla Sharks to earn their 16th straight win in the NRL and defeat the Gold Coast Titans. The Sharks have been dominant for a long period now and they are flying on cloud nine and have the history books in their sights. Their whole back line is playing with impressive skills whilst their forward pack is constantly getting the job done and holding down the defence in the middle of the field. The Titans have impressed all season and are sitting in the top eight but taking on the Sharks is another step above the majority of the competition in the NRL and we can’t see them causing an upset.
