2016 NRL Round 22 Betting Multi

The NRL season has reached round 22 and we have taken a look at the best value matches this weekend to make our NRL betting multi.

To kick things off for our multi in round 22 we will be backing the Sea Eagles to earn victory on the road against the Eels. Manly has revived their season over the past week and have won four straight matches. It has put them in a position where they can contend for a finals spot if they can continue their momentum. A lot of their success has came due to the incredible performances of youngster Tom Trbojevic. He has proven he can be one of the best fullbacks in the game and has a long and accredited future ahead of him. His great performances have directly allowed Daly Cherry Evans to improve whilst the rest of their teammates have been given good attacking opportunities because of this. The Eels season is over due to the salary cap breaches and it has resulted in them losing their past three matches. To their credit they are still turning up and putting in solid performances but as they have a lot of injuries and are without a lot of their stars we are predicting the Sea Eagles to come out on top.

The Bulldogs bounced back to winning ways on the weekend and we are predicting them to continue this when they take on the bottom placed Knights on Saturday. The Knights are currently on a 13-game winning streak, as their defence is by far the worst in the competition. The side is going through a rebuilding stage and is fielding players who are definitely out of their depths in first grade. The Bulldogs will be far too strong in this one with their superior forward pack running over the top of the Knights and laying a solid platform for Moses Mbye and Josh Reynolds. The two halves always play a lot better then their forwards are getting a good roll forward and this will be the case this weekend.

In the third leg of our multi we will be predicting the New Zealand Warriors to cause an upset on the road against the Gold Coast Titans. We are expecting a close match, as it is the seventh placed side taking on the eighth and it will have a lot of implications on the finals series. The Warriors had their fourth golden point game in five matches but this time around they had a different outcome as they were able to get the victory. This side has been playing at a high level for the past couple of months and we really like their new look back line with Tuimoala Lolohea moving to the fullback position and David Fusitua to the centres. It boosts their threat and we are predicting the side will have too much in attack.

The Cowboys and Tigers will both be without their halfbacks. Obviously Johnathan Thurston is a better player than Luke Brooks but we believe the loss for the Tigers is greater as it is harder for them to replace him as they have less depth and their side overall isn’t as strong. The Cowboys have a lot of players they can lean on to step up in the absence of their Dally M winner whereas the Tigers will have an inexperienced player in Jack Littlejohn come into the squad. The Cowboys suffered a loss to the Storm on the weekend without Thurston but they should have more attacking success against a side with a weaker defence. The Tigers were able to earn a win despite losing Brooks early in the match against the Eels as Mitchell Moses took control of the match. However, it is a much more daunting task to take on the defending premiers and the occasion could be too much for the youngster.

In the final leg of our multi we are predicting the Penrith Panthers to bounce back to winning ways and earn a victory against the Sydney Roosters. The Panthers were defeated in golden point against the Warriors but they still showed they are one of the stronger sides in the competition. Nearly all of their matches have came down to the wire this year and coach Anthony Griffin has had his heart tested on multiple occasions. We believe it will be another tight contest for them as the Roosters showed on Friday night they are a tough team to beat. They were on a 6-game losing streak but those matches could have easily been victories and they were able to find the correct pass against the broncos and it lead to them earning the two competition points. The home field advantage will be the decider as the Panthers will have that extra bit of passion and fire with a finals spot on the line.
