2016 NRL Round 23 Betting Multi

This weekend we will be looking to take advantage of a couple of favourites whilst including a roughie to boost our odds as we have our NRL round 23 betting multi.

To kick things off we will be taking the Bulldogs to come out on top against the Sea Eagles. The Bulldogs were able to get the job done against the Knights but they didn’t seem to get out of first gear which was disappointing as it was a real chance for the side to improve their for and against. However, the win did put them into a top four spot and if they can continue to win throughout the remaining four rounds then they will be ensured a second week of the finals. Unfortunately for the Sea Eagles the same can’t be said for them as their season has essentially ended due to their loss against the Eels last Friday. They weren’t able to crack the Eels strong defence and they lost by just one-point. It ended a four-match winning streak for the Sea Eagles, as they don’t have much to play for anymore we are predicting the Bulldogs to earn the two competition points.

The Tigers hosted the Cowboys on the weekend and were able to pull off a massive upset to keep their season alive. It has put them above the Titans on the ladder in ninth spot. They were without Luke Brooks but Mitchell Moses stood up in his absence as he continues to make his mark on the side. He controlled the team brilliantly but the biggest talking point of this match will of course be Jarryd Hayne and what position he will play. It will be a great match up if he is chosen at fullback, as he will be facing off against the incumbent New South Wales fullback in James Tedesco. Hayne had a solid performance in his return to the NRL and he could be the difference maker for the Titans if they are to reach the top eight this season. We are predicting the away side to bounce back from their loss against the Warriors and earn the victory.

The New Zealand Warriors have been consistent over the last two months and if it wasn’t for a couple of losses in golden point they would be in a comfortable spot on the ladder. Nonetheless they are still sitting in the top-eight and will be looking to cement their spot with a win against the South Sydney Rabbitohs on Saturday. They will be without Isaac Luke who was injured at training last week but in his absence other players are continuing to step up. Shaun Johnson has been playing with a lot of composure as he has reached a new height of confidence since his awful broken ankle that ended his season last year. Their forward pack is one of the best in the competition and they will get the upper hand against the Rabbitohs pack that has lost its punch from past years. The Bunnies almost upset the Storm in Melbourne on the weekend but we can’t see them producing to great performances on the road back-to-back.

The Penrith Panthers were big winners against the Sydney Roosters on Monday night and they will have the two-points pencilled in when they face the Newcastle Knights this weekend. The Panthers will receive a boost with Te Marie Martin to return to the side, which will move Bryce Cartwright out of the halves and back into the backrow. This should make their halves pairing more stable but they will be both very inexperienced as Martin will be partnered with Nathan Cleary. However, Cleary has shown he has experience beyond his years as he continues to pick the right option at just 18 years of age. He is an exciting young prospect and he has a great future ahead of him. Meanwhile the Knights lost their 14th straight match and have only been on the winning side once this season. Unless they can produce a couple of upsets over the remaining four rounds they will finish the season with the worst record in NRL history.

In our final leg we will be predicting the Canberra Raiders to send back-to-back messages to the competition that they are real title contenders with a win against the Melbourne Storm. The Raiders will be full of confidence after defeating the Cronulla Sharks at Shark Park on Saturday. Both sides will have nine days rest but that could be to the added benefit of the Raiders as it could give enough time for Blake Austin to overcome a shoulder injury and take the field. The Storm are now sitting on the top of the ladder after escaping with a victory against the Rabbitohs. It was again Cameron Smith and Cooper Cronk who stepped up in the dying stages of a match as the two showed why they have been so great for so long. However, we are predicting the Raiders to have too much firepower out wide and with the home field advantage they will cause the upset.
