2016 NRL Round 25 Betting Multi

Last week we were able to back a few favourites and pick up a nice payday of $206 with our successful betting multi. We will be taking a similar approach this week to go back-to-back.

To start things off we will be backing the North Queensland Cowboys to defeat the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs on the road. Earlier in the year the Cowboys were able to earn a huge victory against the Bulldogs as they showed their superiority. The win was even more impressive as they were forced to do it without Johnathan Thurston for the majority of the second half. Thurston has returned to his best form whilst Michael Morgan has also recaptured his confidence. When Morgan is playing at his best then the Cowboys are a much more dangerous side in attack. The Bulldogs suffered a loss to the Broncos last week and if they aren’t able to turn things around against the Cowboys they will drop out of the top four. The side will be without Sam Kasiano who will miss two weeks through suspension and it will be a sizeable loss in more ways than one. He brings a lot of impact off the bench and he always takes a lot of defenders to get him to the ground. The ability of the Cowboys to apply pressure and turn it into points will get them the victory in this one.

The Canberra Raiders have won seven straight matches and we are predicting they will extend that record against the Manly Sea Eagles this weekend. The Green Machine earned victories against the Sharks and Storm in consecutive weeks but it looked as if they would suffer a shock loss at home against the Eels on the weekend. However, coach Ricky Stuart was able to regroup his men at halftime and they came out a different side in the second half. They were at their attacking best and looked very dangerous. They will look to correct their wrong doings in the first half against the Sea Eagles this weekend and this match could turn ugly if the Raiders are clicking. The Sea Eagles were competitive against the Storm but their defensive issues ultimately let them down and as they are facing the best attacking team in the competition they won’t stand a chance.

The Penrith Panthers are travelling to take on the Gold Coast Titans, as both teams will be looking to book their place in the finals series. The winner will ensure they will play in the knock out stages whilst the loser will have to fight for the 8th placed spot in the remaining game of the season. The Panthers will enter this match on the back of three straight victories as they are hitting form at the perfect point of the year. Their young side is playing very well and a lot of it is due to their 18-year-old halfback. Nathan Cleary is steering the team around brilliantly whilst the side has a lot of x-factor players and arguably one of the best in the competition in Bryce Cartwright. Meanwhile the Titans did what they had to do to defeat the Knights but they didn’t reach any heights in the match. They will have Ashley Taylor back this weekend who was rested and it will be a good match up between the two young halves. Jarryd Hayne will likely move to fullback and this will benefit the side but we are predicting the Panthers will earn a narrow victory on the road, as they are a strong team across the field.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs have produce their best three matches of the season but unfortunately for them it has come too late. They were able to almost defeat the Storm but lost in golden point but they brushed that disappointment off to destroy the Warriors on the road and on Monday night they defeated the Sharks. The fans will be wondering where these performances were all season as they have showed a lot of commitment to their defence. They have done enough in attack to get the job done against both sides but that shouldn’t be an issue this weekend against the Newcastle Knights. Newcastle has the worst defence in the competition and have earned just one win all season. This match should result in an easy win for the Rabbits.

In the final leg of our multi we are predicting the Parramatta Eels will be able to get the job done against the St George Illawarra Dragons. The Eels have had a season to forget off the field and it is beginning to impact their performances on the field. However, you have to give the side credit for turning up every week with the intentions of winning. They race out to a big lead against the Raiders in Canberra but were clearly outclassed in the second half by a superior team. Meanwhile the Dragons inconsistencies continued on the weekend as the Roosters demolished them. It was an embarrassing loss for the Dragons as the Roosters scored 28 unanswered points in the second half. Their inability to be threatening in attack will continue to haunt them, as the Eels will earn the victory on home soil.
