2016 NRL Round 26 Betting Multi

The final round of the 2016 NRL regular season is this weekend and this will be our last 2016 NRL betting multi. We will be looking to go out with a bang and earn a nice payday.

To kick things off we will be predicting the Brisbane Broncos to defeat the Sydney Roosters on Thursday night. The Broncos have bounced back to form in recent weeks and they were able to defeat the competition leaders the Melbourne Storm on the road. It was a good win for Brisbane as they gained revenge for their loss earlier in the year at Suncorp stadium. Their forward pack has regained their forward momentum and this has allowed their backs to look dangerous. The Roosters will be without Boyd Cordner this weekend who has been a big reason for their success throughout the back half of the season. Ryan Matterson will take his place and look for the Broncos to attack down his flank.

The Newcastle Knights have still only registered one victory all season and we don’t think they will finish their season on a high note. The Dragons have been inconsistent all throughout the year and despite having one of the worst attacks in the competition they have managed to finish in a respectable spot on the ladder considering their roster. The side was able to easily defeat the Knights in Newcastle earlier in the season and on home soil, in possibly Benji Marshall’s final NRL game, the Dragons will come out on top.

The North Queensland Cowboys are another side that has returned to form over the last fortnight and we are predicting them to continue that into this weekend and defeat the Gold Coast Titans. Michael Morgan had lost his way after suffering an injury but has been able to be back to his attacking best in the wins against the Warriors and Bulldogs. When Morgan is able to play at a high level it takes a lot of pressure off of Johnathan Thurston as the defence can no longer focus solely on the four-time Dally M medallist. They need to spread their focus to Morgan and other players and it becomes close to impossible to defend against. The Titans have had a very successful season as they were predicted to finish on the bottom of the table. However, despite the inclusion of Jarryd Hayne, the side is still lacking a lot of experience and they won’t be able to get one over the defending champions on the road.

In our fourth leg we will be predicting the Wests Tigers to cause an upset against the Canberra Raiders. The Tigers were able to keep their season alive after they had a come from behind victory against the Warriors on the weekend. The victory was made even more impressive as the side was able to earn the win on the road. The Tigers are still without James Tedesco but Mitchell Moses has continued to play at a high level and has been the biggest reason for their late season surge. A win could see the Tigers move into the finals series and this will give them a lot of incentive. The Raiders are in an injury crisis as they will be without Blake Austin for the rest of the season whilst his half pairing Aiden Seizer injured his ribs in their victory against the Sea Eagles. Their defence has also been weak in recent weeks and this could be an issue for them on the road.

We will wrap up our multi by picking the Penrith Panthers to get the job done against the Manly Sea Eagles. The Panthers have stormed into the finals and despite finishing in the bottom half of the eight they are a side the top teams will definitely want to involve throughout the knock out stages. The Panthers take a different attacking approach to matches as they have a lot of weapons across the park and are a side that loves to offload the ball. The second phase football could cause an issue for the topsides and we believe it will definitely be a problem for the Sea Eagles on Sunday night.
