2016 NRL Round 3 Betting Multi

We narrowly missed out on a big payday last week as the Eels caused a massive upset against the Cowboys.

The Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs have started the season with two wins but they did it the hard way against the Panthers last week. They scored the winner in the final seconds of the match but they were no where near as dominant as the week before against the Sea Eagles. It will be a big battle between the two forward packs this week as they take on the Eels. They were strong in their upset victory against the defending champions and they excelled in defence whilst their big men made a lot of damaging runs. However, the loss of Nathan Peats at hooker will be a big blow for the Eels as he is a massive contributor in both defence and attack for the Eels. The loss will be felt drastically for the team and be a big contributor to their loss.

The Newcastle Knights have been embarrassed in their opening two games as they lost to the Titans and Rabbitohs by big margins. They have conceded nearly 80 points and their defence has been penetrated far too easily. Their attack has also been non-existent and it is evident they will need a change at fullback with Jaelen Feeney having no impact on the opening two matches. Meanwhile the Raiders will be down to their third string halfback but they showed against the Roosters that won’t be an issue for them as they were able to pull off a comeback victory even when they were reduced to 12-men for a 10-minute period. The Raiders smashed the Knights twice last season and we expect them to earn a big win in this one.

We are backing the Brisbane Broncos to remain undefeated to start the season this weekend as they take on the Penrith Panthers who are winless. The Broncos had the best defence in the competition last year and that has continued into this season as they have conceded just 14 points in their opening two games. Meanwhile their attack has been solid but they haven’t moved out of first gear. James Roberts was a star signing during the offseason but he hasn’t seen much of the ball despite being one of the best scorers in the game and being arguably the fastest player. Meanwhile the Panthers will be without Matt Moylan again this weekend as he continues to suffer a back injury. It is a big loss for the side as he is very creative and produces a lot of points for his team. They will struggle to crack the Broncos defence this weekend and will suffer their third straight loss.

In our fourth leg of the multi we will be backing the Tigers to continue their impressive 2016 season by proving their doubters wrong and remaining undefeated. They have been brilliant in attack as they have thrown the ball around which works perfectly for the side as they have a lot of quick outside backs who are skilful and creative. They have torn the Warriors and Sea Eagles defence to pieces and we expect them to do the same to the Titans defence that was poor against the Storm. The Titans earned a victory in their first match against the Knights but they will struggle to earn their second.

In our final leg we will be taking the Sharks to defeat the Sea Eagles on Monday night. The Sea Eagles have suffered two defeats to start the season after coming into the year with a lot of expectations on their shoulders. The side has a lot of new players in the team and they haven’t been gelling as well as expected. The combination of Daly Cherry-Evans and Dylan Walker in the halves will have to be scrutinised closely and it is likely Walker could move to the centres within the coming weeks. Meanwhile the Sharks earned a big victory over rivals the Dragons after suffering a narrow loss to the Cowboys in the opening round. The Sharks were dangerous in attack and Chad Townsend really stepped up as a halfback. Their forward pack is incredibly strong and lay the platform for their star backs to shine.
