2017-18 EPL Multi Week 2

As it usually is, the first week of the EPL season was a bit of a tough one for our multi of the week. Teams are still finding their feet and the red card in the 15th minute to Chelsea skipper Gary Cahill definitely didn’t help our cause. We hit on just 1 of 4 legs but now we have a better feel for the season we’ll be aiming for a bounce back week as we present our EPL Multi for Week 2 of the 2017-18 season.

We stayed away from Manchester United in Week 1 because we didn’t really know what to make of them after an up and down 2016-17 season that started with missing the top four and ended with a great win in the Europa League. They smashed West Ham to the tune of 4-0 on the weekend and look like being the force they once were. They face Swansea away this weekend who are one of our picks to be relegated after losing a key midfielder in Gylfi Sigurdsson. Romelu Lukaku already looks in ominous form and should be tough to handle here. Man U to win.

Leg two of our multi will feature Leicester to defeat Brighton Hove Albion at home on Saturday night. The Foxes took it right up to Arsenal on the weekend, eventually going down 4-3 after Arsenal scored 2 late goals. The attacking prowess of Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy and Shinji Okazaki looks to be as damaging as ever and they should have too much firepower for the Seagulls here.

In leg three of our multi we’ll be taking Liverpool to defeat Crystal Palace at Anfield on Saturday night. The Reds looked a bit behind the 8-ball against Watford on the weekend but we are picking Watford to be much improved on last season, and Liverpool should get an easier task against Palace here. They’ll also welcome the return to Anfield and although star midfielder Philippe Coutinho is likely to leave for Barcelona soon, we think they’ll be too strong for Palace here.

The final and value leg of our multi will feature a tied contest between two of the favourites for the title, Chelsea and Tottenham. The Blues suffered a shock defeat at home to Burnley on the weekend after a 15th minute red card to Gary Cahill and they can’t afford to lose their first two games of the season. They’ll travel to Tottenham Sunday night in what promises to be a very defensive affair. The two teams allowed the fewest goals last season and Chelsea should be extra defensive minded here with a 0-0-1 record away from home.
