2017-18 NFL Multi Week 17

In Week 16, we just missed our NFL multi by a single leg, meaning we got our money back in bonus bets with the CrownBet special. We’ll be looking to finish the regular season with a 4-0 NFL Week 17 multi below.

In the first leg of our NFL Week 17 multi, we’re taking the Ravens over the Bengals. Baltimore can seal their position in the playoffs with a victory over the Bengals and that should be more than enough motivation. They got the job done last Sunday against the Colts and receive an extra day rest for a home game against the Bengals. They smashed them 20-0 in Week 1 this season on the road and it’s hard to see the Bengals scoring enough points. They did beat the Lions last week but it was their home finale of the season, which mainly explains why. They still average just 17 points per game and rank 31st in the NFL for passing and rushing yards. That’s the main concern against a Ravens D that only allows 18 points per game and ranks 4th in the NFL for overall defence. The Ravens are also 10-2 in their last 12 home games and 18-7 when they face the Bengals at home.

The second leg is the Saints defeating the Buccaneers. With the Panthers up against the Falcons, the Saints need to win this game to win the division and they’ll have a great chance against the worst team in the NFC South. Last week, Drew Brees became just the third NFL QB to reach 70000 passing yards in a 23-13 victory over the Falcons. So he’s going to enjoy facing the woeful Bucs pass defence that ranks 29th in the NFL. In the first meeting of the season, Brees went 22/27 with 263 passing yards and 2 touchdowns. The Saints are also 8-2 against the Bucs in the last 10 meetings and 4-1 when they play the Bucs in Tampa. The Bucs have lost five games in a row, but the last 3 have been by a field goal so we’re not expecting a blowout. However, it’s hard to see the Bucs pulling off an upset with their poor defence.

The third leg of our NFL multi is the Colts defeating the Texans. In a battle of two bad teams, we’re sticking with the home team. The Colts performed well against the Ravens on the road last week and have been fairly close in most of their games during a six game losing streak. This is their home finale and the Colts are 13-2 when facing the Texans at home. Running back Frank Gore is finishing off the season well and TJ Hilton is connecting with QB Jacoby Brissett. The Colts defence has been an issue all season but they should stand up against a Texans side that has scored just 13 total points in two games. Albeit they were against the Jaguars and Steelers, but TJ Yates isn’t a great QB. He’s completed under 50% of his passes this season and was in concussion protocol last week. They’ll also be on a short week on the road to Indianapolis so we’re taking the Colts.

In the last leg of the CrownBet NFL multi, we’re backing the Seahawks against the Cardinals. Seattle beat the Cowboys 21-12 on the road last week in a stunning turnaround. They were beaten 42-7 at home against the Rams just the week before. So they’re now in the wildcard race and need the Falcons to lose, while beating the Cardinals. The Seahawks have had the wood over the Cardinals with 6 wins in the last 10 meetings (1 tie). The Cardinals earned a 23-0 victory last week, but it was only against the Giants. The difference in this game will be on defence, where the Seahawks have the advantage. They’re a tough team to beat at home and they will be angry about giving up 42 points against the Rams last time out. Which they showed last week in allowing just 12 against a respectable Cowboys offence. So back the Seahawks in their home finale.
