2017 AFL Multi Round 10

AFL Multi Round 10
We hit on three of four legs in last weekend’s AFL multi. We’ll be hoping to go one better this week as we present our Multi of the Week for Round 10 of the 2017 AFL season.

Leg one of our multi will feature the surging Sydney Swans to defeat the Hawks on Friday night in Sydney. We think the $1.25 being offered on the Swans here is great value. Their midfield has finally started to look like the one that got them into last year’s Grand Final while the Hawks are on a downward slope with arguably the worst injury list in the league at the moment. They got off to a great start against the Pies last week but didn’t have the legs, surrendering a 43-point lead while the Swans were dominant against the Saints. Should be an easy win at home for the Swans.

The second leg of our multi will be Collingwood to defeat Brisbane at the MCG on Sunday. At this point it almost doesn’t matter who the Lions are playing, they have to be a part of the multi each and every week for the wrong reasons. While we do like a lot of their young players coming through the system, they just don’t have enough talent to match it with 90% of the teams in the league, especially without their skipper Tom Rockliff in the line-up. Collingwood have their tails up and should win at home.

The third leg of our multi will feature Geelong to defeat Port Adelaide in the opening game of the round on Thursday night. The Geelong midfield regained some form last week in a great win over the Western Bulldogs in their season opener at Simmons Stadium. The win reiterates Simmons status as a fortress for the Cats and we expect them to back it up here with another home win. Mitch Duncan and Paddy Dangerfield are in great form and Scott Selwood is a great addition to the midfield. Should be a close game but there’s plenty of value in the Cats.

The final leg of our multi will be North Melbourne to defeat Carlton at Etihad Stadium on Sunday. North Melbourne had a great win over Melbourne on the weekend as Ben Brown looked unstoppable up forward and the midfield with the likes of Ben Cunnington, Jack Ziebell and Todd Goldstein were fantastic. Carlton have lost their last two to the Saints and Dockers and seem to be coming back to earth a bit after an impressive start by their standards.
