2017 AFL Multi Round 14

Yet another week where we went 3 out of 4 on our multi. It’s been a hard slog in the AFL this year with 1 or 2 massive underdogs generally getting up each week but we’ll continue to plug away and look to go one better this week with our Round 14 AFL Multi of the Week below.

In the first leg of our multi we’ll be taking the Adelaide Corws to defeat Hawthorn on Thursday night at Adelaide Oval. After a few blips on the radar earlier in the season, the Crows seem to be firing on all cylinders again and return to Adelaide Oval this weekend after having the week off. The Hawks have been one of the lowest scoring teams all year and have struggled to find avenues to goal all season. Even at their offensive best I think they’ll struggle to put up the 100+ needed to go with the Crows here.

In leg two of our multi we’ll be taking the Greater Western Sydney Giants to defeat the Lions in Brisbane on Saturday afternoon. Brisbane have been better than their form suggests over the past few weeks, capping off their improvement with a win over Fremantle in Round 12. While the Ginats went down to Carlton in Round 12 in a massive upset, we think it was just a classic case of underestimating their opponent and they shouldn’t make the same mistake again here.

Leg three of our multi will feature the Geelong Cats to edge out Fremantle at home on Sunday afternoon. The Cats were shaky against West Coast last weekend but will welcome the return to Simonds Stadium in Round 14. Freo will have the advantage of the week off but their form against Brisbane two weeks ago doesn’t instil much confidence here.

The final leg of our multi will be the Sydney Swans to defeat Essendon in Sydney on Friday night. This is the value leg of our multi and while we don’t have full confidence in the Swans just yet, we think they should be able to overcome the Dons. They’ll welcome the return to Sydney this weekend and should be buoyed by a massive win over Richmond that kept their top 8 hopes well and truly alive.
