2017 AFL Multi Round 17

After a bit of a drought in terms of picking winning multis, we finally hit on one last weekend, albeit at reduced odds. The draw between the Giants and Hawks meant the leg came out of our multi but we did hit on the other three legs leaving us with a $2.88 winner. We’ll be going for two in a row here as we present our AFL Round 17 Multi of the Week.

The first leg of our multi will feature the red hot Saints to defeat the Bombers on Friday night at Etihad. There’s plenty of value in the Saints at $1.70 considering they have won their last four games and are one of the best looking teams at Etihad. They absolutely demolished the Tigers on Saturday night under the roof and while Tim Membrey will be out for this clash through suspension, it likely means Nick Reiwoldt will play closer to goal which could be bad for the Bombers.

The second leg of our multi will be the Power to defeat North Melbourne in Adelaide on Saturday afternoon. Port Adelaide have looked shaky over the past few weeks but keep managing to collect wins. They play arguably the worst team in the competition this week in North Melbourne and will welcome the return to Adelaide Oval. Robbie Gray is leading a star studded forward line that is one of the most productive in the league and they should be far too strong for the Roos here.

In leg three we will be taking the Tigers to have a big bounce back game against the Lions on Sunday afternoon. Richmond were beaten comfortably by the Saints on the weekend and will need the easier game against the Lions to get back on track. Another loss here could see see them in a battle to stay in the eight so you’d think the likes of Trent Cotchin and Dustin Martin wouldn’t have two bad games in a row. Even in Brisbane we expect them to be too strong.

The final leg of our multi will feature the Dogs to also bounce back against the Blues on Sunday afternoon. The reigning premiers have been struggling over the past month and desperately need a win to stay in contact here. Regarldess of their average record, throughout the year they have been able to get it don’t when it matters, winning four really close games. They should get a couple of important players back from injury this week including skipper Bob Murphy so we expect them to overcome the Blues.
