2017 AFL Multi Round 18

afl multi round 18
We went 3/4 once again in our AFL multi of the week last weekend after the Saints put up a stinker against the Bombers. Tough round to pick winners coming up but we’ll be hunting for another win as we present our AFL Round 18 Multi of the Week below.

Leg one of our multi will feature the Bombers to earn the victory over North Melbourne on Saturday afternoon. Essendon had two heartbreaking losses to the Swans and Lions before their win over the Saints on the weekend but were dominant in both games right until the final few minutes. They also boast some great wins over the likes of Port Adelaide, West Coast and Geelong throughout the season. Much better side than people give them credit for and should earn an easy victory against the Roos who have lost their last six.

The Saints suffered a humiliating loss to the Bombers on the weekend and will have to back it up in Round 18 with arguably the hardest proposition in football at the moment. They’ll travel to Sydney to take on the Swans who have lost just one match in their last 10 games. The Swans were big winners over the Saints earlier in the year and should be too strong for them once again for the second leg of our multi.

Our third leg will be the Carlton Blues to defeat the Lions at the Gabba on Sunday afternoon. The Blues have lost their last four games but been extremely competitive in all of them going down to some quality sides in the Tigers, Crows, Demons and Bulldogs. They’ll get a bit of a respite this weekend when they face the Lions. The Blues are pretty banged up at the moment with Dale Thomas, Dylan Buckley, Alex Silvagni and Patrick Cripps all set to miss this match, however, the Lions have their fair share of injuries as well and should be in tank mode in an attempt to secure the first pick.

The final leg of our multi will be the Eagles to defeat Collingwood on Sunday afternoon. The game will be played at Etihad Stadium which is a little odd for a Magpies home game and should suit the Eagles a bit more. Collingwood were dealt a massive blow when Scott Pendlebury was ruled out for the game with a broken finger. Collingwood’s season is over while West Coast are in a battle to stay in the eight, they should be too strong here.
