2017 AFL Multi Round 6

AFL Multi Round 6
We hit on yet another multi last week at odds of $2.95 making it 3 hits and 2 misses on the season so far. With the teams starting to get into the swing of things, picking winners is becoming a little bit easier so we’ll be aiming for another hit here as we present our AFL Multi of the Week for Round 6.

Leg one of our multi will feature the Swans to defeat the Blues on Saturday afternoon at Etihad. The Swans are desperate for a win after starting the season 0-5 and in danger of missing the finals for the first time since 2009. Luckily for them, they’ll get a slight ease in schedule over the next few weeks with Carlton, Brisbane and North Melbourne their next three opponents. Coach John Longmire would have been eyeing off these games as a potential return to form for his team and he won’t want to let the opportunity slip.

The second leg of our multi will be the red-hot Cats to defeat Collingwood at the MCG on Sunday. The Cats have started the season 5-0 and look like the first team in line for the Premiership behind GWS and Adelaide. Collingwood suffered a really disappointing defeat to the Bombers on ANZAC Day and another loss here and people will no doubt be calling for coach Nathan Buckley’s head. While Collingwood do have one of the only midfields in the league to match is with the Dangerfield-Selwood 1-2 punch, they lack heavily in other areas of the ground, especially goal kicking. Cats should be too strong here.

We’ll be taking another 5-0 team in leg three of our multi in the Crows to defeat Richmond on Sunday at Adelaide Oval. The Crows look like the most dominant team in the league at the moment. With 666 points for through 5 games, their forward line has been ridiculous and they always get plenty of ball with the likes of Rory Sloane, Brad and Matt Crouch and Rory Laird dominating in the midfield and across half-back. Amazingly, arguably their best midfielder in Scott Thompson is still to come back into the side, they’ll be even more formidable when that happens but they shouldn’t need him to beat the Tiges here.

The last leg of our multi will be our value leg and will feature the Demons to defeat the Bombers on Sunday afternoon. The Bombers will be on the short week after having to play the ANZAC clash on Tuesday, and although they won that match, they will likely be weary after just 4 days rest. The Dees have been competitive in both matches against Fremantle and Richmond since Max Gawn went down with injury, and I think they are finally adjusting to life without him. We’ll take them for value here and take solace in the fact that we’ll most likely get our money back in bonuses if they lose.
