2017 AFL Multi Round 7

AFL Multi Round 7
A Round filled with underdog wins meant we lost our multi of the week in Round 6, but we’ll be looking to bounce back with a win this weekend as we present our AFL Round 7 Multi of the Week below.

In our first leg we’ll be taking Geelong to bounce back after a tough loss to Collingwood on the weekend to defeat the Suns on the Gold Coast on Saturday night. Collingwood’s midfield well and truly outplayed Geelong’s on the weekend but the Cats should get an easier challenge here. The Suns were unable to get over the line against a winless North Melbourne team last weekend despite Gary Ablett having arguably one of the best games of all time. Ben Brown was able to get off the chain against the Suns with 6 goals so we expect Tom Hawkins and the returning Daniel Menzel to guide the Cats to victory here.

Leg two of our multi will feature the red hot Adelaide Crows to defeat the Roos on Saturday. While the Roos did claim their first win of the season on the weekend, Adelaide’s start to the season can’t be denied as they sit 6-0 and lead the AFL in nearly every major statistic. The most dominant forward line in the competition welcomed back Josh Jenkins on the weekend and should go from strength to strength here against a struggling Roos team.

In leg three of our multi we’ll be backing Melbourne to defeat the Hawks at the MCG on Sunday. Much like the Swans, the Hawks have had a lacklustre start to the season and sit 1-5 after a thrashing at the hands of the Saints on the weekend. Melbourne are coming off a great win over Essendon and are playing much better football than their 3-3 record might suggest with important outs through injury and suspension throughout the first six rounds. The Hawks are reeling against faster teams who apply pressure and Melbourne are definitely one of those teams.

The final leg of our multi will feature Collingwood to defeat Carlton at the MCG on Saturday. The Pies are coming off a massive win against Geelong on the weekend in a game where their midfield absolutely dominated the game and their forward line finally stepped up to the plate. Carlton will also be coming off a big win as they defeated the Swans on the weekend by 19 points. While the Carlton midfield in Murphy, Simpson and Cripps looked on top of their game we think Collingwood should be too strong here.
