2017 AFL Multi Round 8

AFL Multi Round 8
Last weekend was a tough one for AFL punters and particulary those who like to induldge in a multi. Six of the nine underdogs of the round one and we missed all of our four legs. We’ll hope things return to the norm this weekend as we give you our Round 8 AFL Multi of the Week.

Leg one of our multi will feature the improving Hawks to defeat the Lions on Saturday down in Tasmania. The Hawks bounced back after a thrashing at the hands of St. Kilda in Round 6 to defeat the Demons in a close game on the weekend. Jarryd Roughead seemed to return to some of his better form with a 4 goal performance while Tom Mitchell continues to be one of the most consistent midfielders in the ADL, racking up 31 touches and 12 tackles. Brisbane have only won one match on the year so day and we expect the Hawks to be too strong for them down in Tassie.

In leg two of our multi we’ll be taking the red hot Saints to defeat Carlton at Etihad Stadium on Saturday. The Saints have won their last 4 of their last 5 matches, last week knocking off the 2nd placed Giants in a massive win for the club. The Blues also secured a great win over Collingwood on Saturday making it two wins in a row. It’ll be a stap up in opponent against the Saints, however, who we think should be too good at Etihad with Maverick Weller likely returning to the side.

The third and fourth legs of our multi will feature the top two sides in the league both to bounce back from disappointing defeats on the weekend as the Giants take on Collingwood and Adelaide hosts Melbourne. GWS will be bolstered by the return of Toby Greene and Lachie Whitflield to the line-up as well as a return to Spotless Stadium, where they are undefeated this season. Adelaide will also return home this weekend as they host a struggling Melbourne side, who lost on the weekend to Hawthorn.

Adelaide will be hoping to return to form after a thrashing at the hands of North Melbourne on the weekend. The Crows were outscored 64 to 0 in the first quarter and ultimately went down by 59 points to the Roos, but should get an easier run this week at home against Melbourne.
