2017 NRL Multi Round 13

The 2017 NRL season continues this weekend and we take a look at the five best value head-to-head matches for our NRL Round 13 Betting Multi.

To kick things off we will be jumping on the Melbourne Storm at home up against the Newcastle Knights. This should be an easy victory for the first leg of our multi as the first placed Storm are at home against the bottom placed Knights. There are some question marks surrounding the performances of both sides with the Storm entering the match on the back of State of Origin which will see Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk and Will Chambers play 48 hours after the big match. However, we are predicting snubbed Queenslander Billy Slater to have an absolute blinder in this one. Darius Boyd was selected over the top of him and we can see him carving the Knights defence to shreds.

In the second leg of our multi we will take the New Zealand Warriors on the road against the Parramatta Eels. Both of these sides playing during the opening bye week and earned victories last weekend. The Warriors were impressive as they bounced back to form but it was against a depleted Broncos outfit. We won’t be looking into it too much but it was a good sign to see Shaun Johnson taking on the line and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck finding the try line. We are predicting the side to build on this performance and be strong against the Eels. Meanwhile the Eels had their first victory with Mitchell Moses in the line up. He was much better after an extra week training with the side but with Corey Norman still on the sidelines we can see him losing his direction against a side that will have a crack.

We will be backing the St George Illawarra Dragons to get the best of the Wests Tigers on Saturday afternoon in another match which is we believe will be one-sided. The Dragons will have Gareth Widdop and Josh Dugan back in their line us and the side has played well without them over the last month. We believe with the two stars back in the side they will be able to easily defeat the Tigers who still have a lot of areas to improve in under new coach Ivan Cleary. They will be boosted by Tuimalolo Lolohea but we can’t see him producing a performance that will see the Tigers upset the Dragons.

In the fourth leg of our multi we are backing the Gold Coast Titans to earn an upset against their state rivals the North Queensland Cowboys. The Titans are a side that produces their best against strong opponents and we saw that against the storm a fortnight ago. It was a highscoring match that the Titans were able to win on the back of their halfback Ashley Taylor who has continued to improve in his second season in the NRL. The youngster controls his side well and we believe their are enough dangerous players on their team – including Jarryd Hayne – that the Titans will be able to cause some problems on the road against the Cowboys. Meanwhile the Cowboys will be without Johnathan Thurston for this contest and they are notoriously bad without him. They were strong in their last two stars with Lachlan Coote back in the side but we believe they will be flat in this one with three of their players returning from Origin duty.

In the final leg of our mutli we are predicting the Panthers to get the better of the Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon. The Bulldogs are one of the many teams to have a rollercoaster season and we are predicting them to head on a downward spiral. The side is one dimensional in attack and rarely creates a lot of opportunities. Meanwhile we believe the Panthers are set to make a push towards the finals. After a terrible start to the season, the side is on a two game winning streak. Matt Moylan will line up in the number six jersey for the first time for the Panthers and we believe he will excel in the five-eighth position. We are predicting the side to score a lot of points in this contest and earn the victory.
