2017 NRL Multi Round 14

The NRL Season continues this weekend and we take a look at the best value head to head match ups for our NRL Round 14 Betting Multi.

To kick things off we will be backing the defending champions the Cronulla Sharks to earn their third straight victory over last year’s grand finalists the Melbourne Storm. The Sharks have had the better of the Storm in their last two meetings but there wasn’t much in it. Cameron Smith had a week off for the Storm last week as he couldn’t back up from Origin. However, the side ran riot against the Knights as Billy Slater proved he should have been selected for the Maroons. Meanwhile the Sharks team and players are beginning to find form and they have moved into second position on the ladder – making this a top of the table clash. We believe the Sharks x-factor players like Jack Bird, Andrew Fifita and Wade Graham will be able to prove the difference in this one.

For the second leg of our multi we will be predicting the Manly Sea Eagles to earn a comfortable victory over the Newcastle Knights on Friday night. The Knights have just three victories over the past two seasons and their record is even worse on the road. We can’t see them causing an upset in this one and it should be an easy way to get our multi a victory. The Sea Eagles have begun to hit form and they were able to hold off the Canberra Raiders on home soil on Sunday. The side showed a lot of experience in their victory and Daly Cherry-Evans will have his confidence lifted after kicking the field goal. The Sea Eagles will be too strong in this one.

For the third leg of our multi we will be predicting the Gold Coast Titans to earn the competition points against the New Zealand Warriors. It should be a close contest with both sides on equal competition points, however the Titans have shown more glimpses of strength this season and they are playing well as a team. Meanwhile the Warriors have been inconsistent and they aren’t playing to their potential. The real deal breaker for them is they will be on the road and they haven’t been able to earn a victory away from home this year and are currently 0-6. The Titans will sneak home by a small margin.

We will be predicting the Penrith Panthers to build on their dominant performance last week and secure the victory over the Canberra Raiders for the fourth leg of our multi. The Panthers will have the advantage of playing in front of their home crowd while the decision to keep Matt Moylan at five-eighth will prove to be a success. Moylan has been playing as a number six despite being at fullback and it gives them an extra edge in attack with him being in the five-eighth position. This was evident in their 38-0 thrashing of the Bulldogs. The Raiders have had an up and down season and they haven’t been able to find their attacking form of last year. Unfortunately for them they suffered a couple of injuries and they will be lacking a bit of punch in the middle.

In the final leg of our multi we will be backing the Sydney Roosters to get the victory over the Wests Tigers. The Roosters will welcome Mitchell Pearce back into the side after he missed the last two games due to Origin and a concussion. Luke Keary has been excellent as his replacement and we believe he will have even more influence with the pressure off his shoulders. He will be able to chime in when he wishes and he has proved to be a real attacking weapon this year. Meanwhile the Tigers fullback James Tedesco will want to have a strong performance against the side he will join next year. However, he won’t be able to do enough to lift a side to victory who has Jack Littlejohn starting in the halves.
