2017 NRL Multi Round 19

The 2017 NRL season continue this weekend and it is the last bye round of the year. We take a look at the five matches with the best head to head value for our NRL Round 19 betting multi.

The New Zealand Warriors host the Penrith Panthers in an important match for both sides. They are both sitting in the same spot on the competition ladder and four points outside the top eight. We believe the loser of this match will have their finals chances dashed. The Warriors always play at another level in front of their home fans and with everything on the line we are expecting them to get up for this one. It is Keiran Foran’s only year with the Warriors and Shaun Johnson will know that it is a great chance for him to get deep into the finals once again. Their attack hasn’t quite lived up to its potential yet but the Panthers are a side that has leaked a lot of points at stages throughout this season. We are predicting them to have defensive lapses throughout this match and for the Warriors to get home.

In the second leg of our multi we are predicting the Canberra Raiders to earn the victory over the St George Illawarra Dragons. The Raiders are another side that is playing for their season while the Dragons are just holding onto their top eight spot. They have lost a lot of form in recent weeks and their only victory last month came in an unimpressive match against the Knights. They showed strength to overcome an 18 point deficit but it was more the Knights playing bad than the Dragons good. Meanwhile the Raiders haven’t been able to get their attack to click this season but it isn’t far off. Their backs are against the wall and it is now or never for them and we think this will get them the victory on home soil.

In the third leg of our multi we will be predicting the Brisbane Broncos to earn the victory over the Newcastle Knights. This one is pretty simple. The Knights have won three matches over the last two seasons and have given up multiple leads in the last five minutes during that span. The side has forgotten how to win games and they won’t be able to upset the Broncos who are pushing for a top four berth. Brisbane are without Darius Boyd and Anthony Milford due to injury while they will have a number of stars backing up from origin, however, that won’t lead to them suffering a loss in this one.

We believe the Gold Coast Titans will be able to produce an upset on Saturday night against the Cronulla Sharks. The Sharks will enter this game with six of their stars backing up from a game 3 decider. It will be hard for those players to get up for this one whether NSW wins or loses – five of the Sharks representative players play for NSW. Meanwhile the Titans have three of their own stars backing up. The Sharks have struggled throughout the origin period with only one convincing win coming against the Roosters. Meanwhile the Titans have begun to find their feet and have won their last two matches. A lot of that is due to strong performances from Jarryd Hayne. He will need to have another big one in this match while Ashley Taylor steers the forwards around the park.

In the final leg of our multi we will look to wrap things up by predicting the Manly Sea Eagles to defeat the Wests Tigers. The Sea Eagles suffered a loss last week to the Penrith Panthers but they were on the wrong end of a 14-4 penalty count. The side couldn’t build any momentum against their opponents and weren’t able to dominate possession at any stages, however they were still in the contest and only lost by eight points. They will need to improve their discipline and the side will be able to cruise to a victory in this one. The Tigers won an important match in their last start, defeating the Knights in Newcastle to climb off the bottom of the table. However, we aren’t getting excited by that performance as again it was more the Knights shooting themselves in the foot.
