2017 NRL Multi Round 24

The 2017 NRL season continues this weekend and we take a look at the best value head-to-head matches for our NRL Round 24 Betting Multi.

To kick our multi off this week we will be backing the Parramatta Eels to bounce back to winning ways against the Gold Coast Titans. The Eels are coming off the back of a disappointing loss against the bottom placed Newcastle Knights but they did come up against the Knights who played their best game in three seasons. The Eels are still pursuing a top four spot and if they wish to fulfil it they will need to win this contest. The Titans season is over but they aren’t out of the spotlight. The side has been involved in a lot of controversy this week with the coach and players involved in a possible revolt. We are predicting the Titans to struggle in this game, as they have in their past two as the Eels run away with the game.

In the second leg of our multi we are backing the South Sydney Rabbitohs to win on home soil against the New Zealand Warriors. The Rabbitohs have left some of their best footy for the end of the season and they are currently on a two game winning streak. The side earned a come from behind victory against the Dragons before they made easy work of the Bulldogs last week. We are predicting them to knock off another side on Friday night. The Warriors effort levels have been close to pathetic for the last month and with Shaun Johnson still sidelined, we can’t see the Warriors surprising anyone and coming up with a victory in this one. As is every year, the Warriors have been one of the most disappointing sides in the league as they have so much potential but never live up to it. They will be disappointing once again.

The St George Illawarra Dragons bounced back to winning ways last week against the Gold Coast Titans. However, despite the big win, we are predicting them to lose against the Brisbane Broncos and with it their finals aspirations will be close to dashed. The Dragons were fast starters this year but have dropped off in the second half of the season and have fallen out of form. Their attack has struggled it will be hard for them to break down the Broncos defence which has been strong for the past couple of weeks. The Broncos have been strong in their past two matches, scoring a combined 84 points and defeating the Titans before the defending premiers the Sharks last week. The Broncos should claim this one comfortably.

In the fourth leg of our multi we will be backing the Melbourne Storm to end the three game winning streak of the Newcastle Knights. The Storm are leading the competition, sitting three competition points ahead of the second placed Roosters, and unfortunately for the Knights they remain on the bottom despite their great form over the past month. The Storm are obviously a class above the Knights and they should be able to make easy work of their opponents on Saturday. The Storm have been dominant this year on the back of great performances from Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk, Cameron Munster and of course the return of Billy Slater. While Brock Lame has been terrific in the five-eighth position for the Knights as of late, the 20-year-old won’t be enough to get the Knights over the line in this one.

In the last leg of our multi we will be backing the Canberra Raiders to get one back on the Penrith Panthers on home soil. The Green Machine has left it late but they have strung together back-to-back wins to keep their season alive. The side needs to win their final three games and with the Panthers sitting in a more comfortable position on the ladder, the Raiders will be more desperate in this one and it will prove the difference. The Raiders have finally started to reach their potential in attack and find their grove that got them to the preliminary final last season. Joseph leiliuia and Jordan Rapana have been exceptional on the right edge while Jarrod Croker and Nick Crotic have been just as dangerous on the left. If their two edges can remain in form then they will be a tough team to beat. Meanwhile the Panthers will enter Sunday’s game on a five game winning streak. They are now sitting comfortably in the top eight and have an opportunity to lift into the top four, however, their streak must come to an end at some point and they will receive a wake up call against the Raiders.
