A-league Round 3 Multi of the Week

Last week our A-League multi went 2/4, which meant we missed out on profit. We will be looking to go at least one better this week but with a lot of matches that are easy to predict a big payday is looming.

To start off with we will be taking the Victory to defeat the Jets in Newcastle. The defending champions were strong against their cross town rivals last weekend as they created a lot of chances, however what is worrying is the lapse they had leading towards the end of the match that saw them drop a two goal lead. The side was able to regather itself and Mr reliable Besart Berisha was able to score the winning goal. They will be too strong for the Jets who are still rebuilding.

The Sydney derby will be an exciting one with more than just bragging rights on the line as the pressure is already mounting on Tony Popovic as the Wanderers are winless in their opening two games. The Sky Blues snatched a late winner against the Jets and will be looking to improve in front of goal this weekend. The Wanderers will need to remove the defensive mistakes from their game that have cost them against the Roar and Adealide. Sydney FC will pounce on any mistakes and their experience up front will make them pay the ultimate price.

Melbourne City suffered a loss last weekend but they showed real promise in the second half as they were able to overcome a two-goal deficit but it wasn’t their night, as a late tap in from Besart Berisha would hand them the loss. They will be too strong for the Mariners this weekend, as they will be looking to stamp themselves onto the competition and secure their first victory of the season.

The Reds will travel to Perth after starting the season with back-to-back draws. The side has struggled in front of goal and as they have only found themselves on the scorers board through an opposition own goal. They will need to fix that quickly as the Glory have scored six goals in their past three games including the FFA Cup. Perth are stranded on the bottom of the table but they will be able to pick up a point at home as the Reds will start the season with three draws.
