AFL Round 14 Multi of the Week

AFL Round 14 betting

The byes are finally over for the 2015 AFL season and that means we can pick from nine games for our Multi of the Week! As usual we will be putting our multi on at CrownBet – place a head-to-head multi of at least four legs and if only one leg fails, receive a bonus bet matched to your stake up to $50.

The first team we will be putting in the multi is Sydney Swans to beat Port Adelaide on Thursday night. Lots of people are harking on about the Swans being without Buddy and Tippet, but their list is deep enough to cover for this and they some really great running goal kickers in their team. Port Adelaide have given us no reason to think they are on the improve. They continue to struggle and we can’t see that changing on this big stage at the SCG as the Round 14 opener.

We will be skipping the Friday night game and the next game we will get in our multi is for North Melbourne to beat the Suns. Will Gary Ablett be back and will it even make a huge difference? Yes, it would make a difference, but not enough to beat the Kangaroos. North Melbourne are coming off a rest and the Suns are coming off a loss against Carlton. So, a top six contender refreshed after the bye round against the Suns who lost to one of the worst teams in the comp.

Next up is the Western Bulldogs to beat Carlton on Saturday night at Etihad – a game where the favourites seem way over the odds at $1.52. Are Carlton really that improved? We have to remember just how bad this mob were a few weeks ago. Yes they have won two in a row, but one of those games was against the woeful Suns and the other seemed to be anomaly against a struggling Port Adelaide. The Bulldogs, meanwhile, continue to impress and should win this game easily with their much talked about run off half back too classy for the Blues.

The final leg of our multi is a bit of a smoky at odds of $2.30, but we are happy to get this in there with the insurance policy on offer from CrownBet. Basically we think the Saints have shown better form the last few weeks. They were really good in their loss against the Bulldogs last round, and in the few weeks prior to that had a couple of solid wins. The Bombers, however, have lost four in a row and it really looks like the off field troubles are starting to ware on them.
