AFL Round 16 Multi of the Week

AFL Round 16 Betting

Our AFL ‘Multi of the Week’ has had just one wrong leg several times this season and while it’s frustrating, we have to be grateful that CrownBet’s AFL multi special means that when we get one leg wrong, we get a bonus bet equal to our stake up to $50!

We will once again be utilising this special for our betting tips for Round 16.

The first pick we will be putting in the multi is the quite short priced Kangaroos at $1.25 but this is one of those ‘locks’ you get in there to beef up the better priced ones. The Roos will be without Drew Petrie, but that’s just about the only bad thing you can say about the Roos going into this game. They have a great record against the Bombers and while the red and black fans were excited last week, we have to remember they only defeated the Demons. The Roos, however, were back to their best against the Cats and look like they should win this one easily.

Next up we really like the Eagles to beat Collingwood at $1.70. This price just seems like huge overs. There is no doubt the Magpies have been solid lately against great teams, but a loss is a loss no matter which way you look at it. The Eagles, meanwhile, haven’t put a foot wrong this year and just looked so dangerous against the Crows last week. They continue to put big scores on the board and look like they will be too much trouble for the Pies.

The third leg of our multi is almost too good to be true with the Bulldogs paying $2.25 against the Cats. It’s unbelievable to think the Cats are such favourites in this game. Do the bookies / public really think Symonds Stadium is that big of advantage? The Cats have simply struggled immensely lately and looked pretty tired and woeful against the Roos last round. The Dogs started poorly against the Suns and if they didn’t turn it around maybe we would have a different tune right now. But they did turn it around and it take a good team to kick ten goals in one quarter when on the ropes.

The final pick of our multi is just a small odds booster with the Tigers at $1.37 to beat the Saints. These odds actually seem a little generous for the Tigers. They have won the last five against this side and while the Saints have looked better this year, they have only won five games and not against the really good teams – and yes, we rate Richmond as one of those. Happy to get on Jack Reiwoldt to beat Nick at the inaugural ‘Maddie’s Match’ to honour the passing of Nick’s sister Maddie.
