AFL Round 18 Multi of the Week

Those who followed our AFL multi betting tip last week would have picked up a return of $892 on a full $100 bet. The five-leg multi included two roughies that both managed to get up and meant that we scored our best multi of the year.

Hopefully we can pick some more winners this week!

Round 18 looks like it will be a little tougher to get a big odds multi as there a huge amount of heavy favourites throughout the weekend. That does, however, mean hitting a multi this round could be very easy if all goes to plan. And because there are so many favourites this week, we will be making it a six-leg multi, just to beef up the odds.

The first game we will be putting in the multi is Geelong to beat Brisbane. The Cats have been purring lately and with this game down at Symonds Stadium, it’s going to be very tough for the Lions to get up. Brisbane do get Pearce Hanley and Dayne Beams back in the side, but will still find this far too tough.

We then like the look of Collingwood up against Melbourne. It’s hard to believe the Pies have lost five in a row. During that period they have been very solid, but have simply had a tough run of it. They will be desperate to get back on the winner’s list and will be happy to be back on the MCG. The Pies have a great record against the Demons and look too strong here.

Next up we will be taking West Coast to beat Gold Coast. There are three reasons for this pick – 1. West Coast are the second best team in the comp behind Hawthorn. 2. Gold Coast are no good. 3. Gary Ablett is out injured once again.

We then move to the Sunday games, taking Port Adelaide to beat the Saints; the Bulldogs to beat Essendon and Fremantle to beat GWS.

Originally we were a bit iffy on Port Adelaide, but with the Saints having Riewoldt, Lonie and Gilbert out we changed our tune. Throw in the fact this game is at Adelaide Oval and the Power have been better of late and we are very happy to get them in our multi.

The Bulldogs, meanwhile, were so good against the Pies last week and you can’t see them slowing down any time soon. They will be too good for the Bombers who continue to struggle.

And the Dockers at home against the Giants is any easy pick. Yes, Nat Fyfe is out, but this team has plenty of midfield depth and one of the big factors here is Sandilands going up against the Giants who are without Shane Mumford. This should be an easy win for the Dockers.
