AFL Round 20 Multi of the Week

We are hoping we can go on better this week and bag our AFL Round 20 ‘Multi of the Week’.

We will be skipping the Friday night game and making the first leg of our multi Adelaide to beat Essendon. There is a reason the Crows are paying $1.23. The Bomers are in shambles. They are clearly desperate for the season to end, The Crows, meanwhile, are desperate to make the finals and won’t be dropping this game. The Crows are simply the best clearance team in the competition and the Bombers are the worst. Being at Etihad helps the Bombers, but the Crows will still get the job done easily – especially if they play like they did against Richmond last week.

The Roos are starting to string together a good end to the season and I expect them to continue to build form as they play the Saints this weekend. The Roos have a great record at Blundstone Arena in Hobart and also a solid record against the Saints. These two teams played in Tassie last year and the Roos won by 59 points. The Roos have averaged 113 points in the last five games and will simply be too strong for the Saints.

To get a bit of value in our multi we will then be taking the Lions to beat Carlton on Saturday night. The Lions are slight favourites and we think they show plenty of value at the Gabba. Carlton lose to the Lions earlier this year at Etihad and you can’t see them being able to travel up north and get the job done. The Lions were solid during parts of their loss to the Suns last week and unless you think they might ‘tank’ this week for draft picks, I think they are a better side than the Blues.

Next up we like Richmond to beat the Suns. The Tigers were disappointing last week against the Crows on Friday night, but they will come into this off a big break and ready to show us they are the premiership contenders they think they are. Brett Deledio comes back in, the game is at the MCG and this game screams Richmond all over.

The final leg of our multi will see us take the Bulldogs to beat the Demons on Sunday afternoon. The Demons have been okay the last few weeks, but will find this one at Etihad very tough. Incredibly the Demons have actually lost their past 21 matches on this ground. The Bulldogs, meanwhile, thrive at Etihad and their running style will be too much for the Demons. Ignore the Bulldogs loss to the Demons in Round 8, they are shaping up to be September threats and should get an easy win here.
