AFL Round 23 Multi of the Week

The regular season of the AFL in 2015 is almost over as Round 23 is the last week before the finals begins! There are some incredibly one-sided games being played this weekend and it looks extremely tough to find some value for our multi betting tips.

Take note: When this article was first published we liked the look of North Melbourne as a value play on Friday night, but then the club released a statement about resting up to 10 players, so we have replaced the Roos with the Tigers. There is just no way the Roos can win with anywhere from 5 to 10 players out of the side.

We will then be taking Adelaide to beat Geelong. There are some indications that this might be a danger game (pun intended), but ultimately we have to follow the form and everything points to Adelaide. The $1.50 odds are quite generous too – likely because the game is at Simonds Stadium. The Cats will be keen to bounce back after last week’s terrible performance, but you just get the feeling this team is cooked. They won’t be able to put up a big enough score to beat the Crows.

The short priced Bulldogs are the next team in our multi as they head to Brisbane to take on the Lions. The Bulldogs got back to their winning ways last week when they overcame the Kangaroos and all indications is that they are near their best heading into the finals. They might rest a couple of players instead of taking them to Brisbane, but they have shown a fair bit of depth this year and some of the VFL players might see it as their chance to audition for the finals. The $1.20 on offer is a little bit short, but this is one of the better picks in a tough week.

Moving to Sunday afternoon, we like the Giants to overcome the Demons. The Giants at $1.38 actually looks like value the way the Demons have been playing. They were once again woeful on the road against the Dockers last week, barely scoring for half the game. The Giants, meanwhile, will come into this game following a confidence building win against the Blues last week. Expecting the young team to get their 12th win of the season, finish 9th and wonder what could have been.

The final game of Round 22 is Collingwood Vs. Essendon and we like the black and white to finish the year on a high. There is just no doubt the Bombers are keen to put this year behind them. What do they have to play for in this game? The Pies are coming off a solid win against the Cats last week and will come out firing and keen to play their best footy.

Richmond to beat North Melbourne – $1.19
Adelaide to beat Geelong – $1.50
Western Bulldogs to beat Brisbane – $1.20
GWS to beat Melbourne – $1.41
Collingwood to beat Essendon – $1.25

Total Odds: $3.76
Total Payout for $100 bet: $376
