NRL Round 6 Multi of the Week

Sportsbet

Last week was disappointing for our Sportsbet multi as we won the first two legs but then finished the round with three straight losses as the Knights, Roosters and Eels all lost to their opponents.

This week has a lot of close matches as well as a few outsiders that could manage an upset victory. The total odds of the multi for this week is the highest one we have had so far this year and it could prove to be our most valuable with a tough week ahead.

The Sydney Roosters travel north of the border and will face a depleted Broncos outfit. Both sides are suffering from injuries but with the Roosters having a much deeper side and coming off a loss that they will want to make up for, we will go with them.

The Cronulla Sharks look to have turned their season around after they had an impressive victory last week against competition favourites the Roosters. The Knights on the other hand came crashing down to earth after suffering their first loss of the season and dropping off of the top of the ladder. They lose enforcer Beau Scott and the Sharks forward pack should prove overwhelming for the Knights.

The Wests Tigers is our roughie pick this week as they travel across the Tasman to face the Warriors side that has been disappointing this season. Shaun Johnson has failed to recapture his form from last year’s four nations and with Sam Tomkins being injured the Warriors could lose this one. The Tigers will need to be at their best to win but we think they should be.

The Penrith Panthers and Manly Sea Eagles will enter their encounter with both sides having suffered three losses in a row. The Sea Eagles are lacking punch whilst the Panthers haven’t been able to be at their best without five-eighth Jamie Soward. The home side should prove too strong for the struggling Sea Eagles.

The cowboys head to Sydney full of confidence after recording back-to-back victories. The Rabbitohs welcome back John Sutton at the perfect time as halfback Adam Reynolds will be on the sidelines for the next four months. The injury will hit the side hard as Reynolds is the glue that holds the side together. Johnathan Thurston has also returned to career best form in his last two matches.
