UFC 194 Multi Betting Tip

UFC 194UFC 194 brings a cracking card headlined by the fight that everyone has been waiting for with Jose Aldo taking on Conor McGregor for the featherweight championship. That fight looks a tough one to pick, but we’ve spotted a few other matches that we can combine to take advantage of the UFC 194 Multi promotion at Sportsbet to give us some extra value.

Kevin Lee vs Leandro Santos

Lee is one of the best prospects in the lightweight division. Coming from a wrestling background, he is significantly improving his all round game with every fight. Santos has some slick BJJ, but Lee will be too strong here and if he doesn’t finish the fight should win a pretty lopsided decision.

Colby Covington vs Warlley Alves

This is a fight between two undefeated up and coming fighters looking to crack into the top echelon of the welterweight division. Covington is a pressure boxer with really good wrestling and an active top game. Alves is a dynamic fighter with exciting striking and submissions. I always like the wrestler in matchup’s like these, so I’m back Covington to grind out a decision.

Tecia Torres vs Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger

I love betting on Torres because she has such a high fight IQ. If the striking is even or she is losing she will take the fight straight to the ground and vice versa if she is up against a dangerous grappler. She could definitely out strike Jones-Lybarger, but I foresee her taking the safe option and implementing her strong wrestling game. Jones-Lybarger is also taking this fight on short notice which is always a red flag.

Max Holloway vs Jeremy Stephens

Holloway and Stephens will kick off the main card in style with what promises to be an enthralling striker vs striker match up. Holloway is the younger, more technically proficient striker and Stephens is the brawler with dynamite in his hands. I worry Holloway might eat one of those bombs, but the far more likely outcome is he picks Stephens apart on feet on route to a unanimous decision.

Chris Weidman vs Luke Rockhold

It’s not hyperbole to call this the highest quality middleweight fight in history. You have two great athletes, in the prime of their careers who are standouts in all aspects of MMA. Really hard to call, but I think Rockhold has the more dangerous weapons and will pry the belt from the champion in an instant classic.

Best Bet of the Card

Urjiah Faber vs Frankie Saenz

UFC veteran, Faber is stuck in a weird middle ground where he blows all the lower level competition out of the water but falls short against the cream of the division. Saenz definitely falls in the lower level competition category and I think the Californian kid should steamroll him here. I think Faber will get the better of it on the feet before catching Saenz’s neck and claiming the win by submission.

Urjiah Faber by submission – $3.20 at Ladbrokes
