UFC 205 Betting Multi

The UFC is making their debut in New York City and they have stacked the card from top to bottom.
Below is our UFC 205 multi.

UFC 205 Multi

Joanna Jedrzejczyk – $1.25
Kelvin Gastelum/Donald Cerrone over 2.5 rounds – $1.53
Miesha Tate – $1.57
Frankie Edgar to win on points – $1.80
Khabib Nurmagomedov – $1.36

Total odds: $7.53 at Sportsbet

Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs Karolina Kowalkiewicz
Joanna Jedrzejczyk is right alongside Conor McGregor and Wonderboy Thompson as the best pure strikers in MMA. A multiple time World Muay Thai champion, she is a buzzsaw of punch, kick, and elbow combinations. Fellow Poland native Karolina Kowalkiewicz will be the best striker she has faced in MMA, but I think that will allow Jedrzejczyk to open up and be even more dangerous. I think she earns a late TKO stoppage.

Kelvin Gastelum vs Donald Cerrone
This is the hardest fight on the card for me to call. Donald Cerrone is a brilliant striker who has struggled with pressure fighters, while Kelvin Gastelum is a pressure wrestle boxer who has struggled against strikers with good movement. I lean ever so slightly Gastelum, but think the best bet is for this one to go over 2.5 rounds.

Miesha Tate vs Raquel Pennington
Former title holder Miesha Tate takes on up and coming bantamweight Raquel Pennington in the first fight on the main card. The striking exchanges should be tight, as both fighters are solid boxers with questionable defence. But Tate has a massive grappling edge and that should see her earn a finish or a dominant decision.

Frankie Edgar vs Jeremy Stephens
New Jersey’s Frankie Edgar is looking to bounce back after losing a competitive decision to Jose Aldo for the interim featherweight title. Jeremy Stephens is a powerful brawler whose only chance at victory is with a one punch KO. Edgar is the far better all-round fighter and should be able to use his movement, boxing and wrestling to win a lopsided 30-27 decision.

Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Michael Johnson
Forget McGregor and Alvarez, the best lightweight fighter on this card is 21-0 Dagestani Sambo master Khabib Nurmagomedov. He may not have the most exciting style, but Nurmagomedov has barely lost a moment in any of his 7 UFC wins. His opponent Michael Johnson is very dangerous and will be the most explosive striker Nurmagomedov has faced to date, but I expect him to continue his winning ways and finally earn a shot at the lightweight belt.
